i cant help it; i just love it when it snows...

just wanted to update everyone on the house reno--as most of you know, the progress on our house has been a bit slow; there hasnt been a whole lot going on since before christmas, but here are a few things that have been going on

• we passed the framing inspection; the next inspection is for insulation and then we have our final
• we have been scheduled for spray-in insulation, but unfortunately the machine broke, so we are still waiting on that
• yesterday we got all of our lumber for the exterior siding, interior walls and ceilings, and our hard wood floors
• we have begun on the exterior siding
• and will begin on the interior after insulation and the inspection (which should only take a few days); hopefully next time i post, there will be a ton of progress

and we're pooped

chad and i camped here last year...this place is called grayson highlands state park, and this year we decided to bring along some friends; it was cold, but we got a clear day, and we also got to burn off some of those holiday calories with a six mile hike

lunch time; this was our picnic spot

the views were beautiful this day

christmas wilmington style:

• the love
• extremely incredible stocking stuffers, which consists of finding anything from the house and dropping it in stocking--"little yellow nuprin"
• five, yes five, dogs
• staying cozy as long as possible in our new winter hats
• a tearful opening of presents
• all the family together
• big giant puzzle
• and of course the celebration of Jesus, ah duh!!

it appears as though we all needed winter hats this christmas





the opening of chad's amazing original artwork was an extremely tearful event, as you will see; hee hee

even chad and i got our own special piece of art that whit and roman worked extremely hard on












our new puzzle--the last supper with 2000 pieces, wow





the good news is we can all have clean teeth now with our new battery operated tooth brushes
