Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!!

welp, another christmas and another year has come and gone. i can't believe it!! this year we partook in the celebration at the culpepper residence--my mom's house. it was a quiet year, as i missed my sisters, and things just weren't quite the same without sally; however, we did have mason.......and skeeter and dixie, and, as you can see below, i am always entertained by the cheesey ornaments that can be found on my parent's christmas tree--and, yes, i am the one who created this masterpiece; yep; i colored it and all!!

christmas eve

I couldn't resist--nice faces!!

yes, chad did get that sexy little straw hat for christmas that he has been talking about for months, and of course his lovely wife got it for him; doesn't he look hot!!

christmas at sister whitney's

please check out chad's face in this picture; he just started drinking coffee, so he is only used to the kind that him and i make. as you can see, he definitely did not like the taste of this coffee--sorry whit!

you know it wouldn't be christmas without one animal laying in the middle of all the wrapping paper!

cousin scott

it took a lot for chad to be in this picture with my grandaddy...chad hates carolina and grandaddy's hat!!!

and that's all she wrote, people. hope you all had a blessed christmas and new year!!

what do most people do during thanksgiving holiday??

well this is what we do...a lot of eating, and then a lot of exercising (see jesse in picture 2; don't know if he has a future career in pilates), lounging, and several hours of playing games. It was a great time!!!!

skeeter had already gone to bed in this picture. and, yes, we did have four dogs in our tiny house!!!

the boys found themselves something to do while the ladies were preparing...

and, of course, it wouldn't be thanksgiving without the big thanksgiving meal, and mmmm, it sure was good!!

hmmm, i wonder what could be in this box??? i saw this sneaky little puppy going for the turkey carcus after our big meal. after he got all four legs on the table (notice he has three up there in this pic), he discovered that we were all watching him....he then got nervous because he knew he was going to get in trouble and just fell off--oops!

cutting down our own christmas tree...what fun!!!

this is the christmas tree that i really wanted and was one of the first ones i saw; i thought to myself: hey, of all these christmas trees, this decision could be a lot easier than i thought. then i asked my neighbor how big it was and it turned out the trees with the orange ribbon (which was this one) are 10-11 foot trees. Of course, our search continued...

i love this view of our house from the christmas tree farm

this is our tree--it is perfect

we got sick of waiting for someone to cut our tree down, so we went to our barn, got a hand saw, and chopped it down ourselves...it was a great experience!!

and whitney and jesse's tree, which i heard was a lot bigger than they thought when they got it home.
