FALL FUN

brooke and pete made it in town just in time for fall color, and pete found himself to be quite the little goat herder...and chicken herder. for more sights to see, visit me on facebook.

ah--fall, my favorite time of year. and every year, chad and i go the the valle fair in valle crucis. it didn't exactly feel like fall at 39 degrees, but it was nice to get out of the house and enjoy some "festival food." hey, i am eating for two, right?? i think we all ate for two that day...we had a great time!

yes, there is a baby in there...and brooke wouldn't even share her corn!

Happy Birthday, Chad!!

As tempted as the puss was, he did not eat Chad's presents...Chad's birthday was Sunday, but we decided to celebrate a day earlier. What more could Chad ask for, chocolate cake and presents. Unfortunately for him, he did not get exactly what he wanted: I could only afford $1 for the truck he has been begging me for, and they didn't have the right color--whoops.

Chad has a hard time accepting he is getting older, so I spared him the 33 candles and had two rowes of 3 instead!

vroom, vroom...he can fit mulch in that, don't you think!

Chad and I decided to celebrate his actual birthday by going on a picnic. Fortunately, the sun came out just in time; we had the perfect weather. You can tell, I was plenty relaxed!

TRIP TO THE OB

It has been about 5 mos. since the last post, and as most of you know, or can see from the following pictures, I am 5 mos. pregnant...I guess now you also know the purpose of the trip to Waynesville!!

My sister gave me a baby shower, and what a wonderful time we all had! I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard. I am blessed to know such awesome, generous people who are willing to spend there Friday afternoon celebrating mine and Chad's latest adventure and also truly showering me with gifts, so many gifts. I already feel like I have so many of the things that I need.

Thanks to all!

Family Fun!!

*Nothing like a Family Reunion
*Nothing like your brother-in-law introducing you to most of your family members (it has been 16 years (maybe more) since the last family reunion)
*Nothing like facing the reality that soon you, too, will be standing over your child like the people in the second picture
*Nothing like getting the boys back together--hane hane hane
*But most importantly, there is nothing like spending the afternoon with the people who you know are your family...somehow!
