out with the old and in with the new.........

in an effort to reduce our ridiculously large car payment/way too expensive gas bill, chad and i have decided to downsize...notice chad's sad face. it was very difficult for him to give up his baby, but it was well worth it!!! stay tuned for more pics of our new subaru, outback...

brooke and heather came into town on the weekend of the 23rd and what fun we had!! saturday we went to watauga lake and did about a 5.5 mile hike and really got to enjoy the scenery. brooke finally got the perfect weather and some mountain views...besides the car sickness on the way, it was a great day and weekend!!

















it was not easy finding a rock to balance our camera on; it seemed every time we were going to get the perfect shot, a breeze came and and blew our camera off--this is the best we could do.

a close call here--thought we were going to lose heather for a sec; fortunately she made it back to the trail...
