and this is why we want to move to the country...we get more snow. yesterday, bethel got about nine inches of snow, while boone only got about four. some parts of the county, on the mountain tops, got a foot. all i know is it sure was beautiful on the way out to there!

somewhere between the barn and the house, there was a road, but it was hard to distinguish with all the snow coming down--as the local weather forcaster said, it was blizzard-like conditions yesterday afternoon

oh atlanta, i hear you callin....

got a beautiful sunset on the road to atlanta, this picture doesnt even compare to how beautiful it really was

friday morning, take note of how bright it was approaching ikea. we got there when the store opened at 10, and didnt leave until 730--we even ate lunch there; it was definitely dark when we left (see below).

there she is

yes, these will be our kitchen cabinets; they are a shiny bright white (they have shiny, enamel finish on them); they will have different door pulls, and the upper cabinets will be a frosted glass on one side of the kitchen; we will also have a huge island bar in the middle of the kitchen, both with butcher block countertops.

yes, this is our giant sink. i told chad, it is too bad we are getting a dishwasher because this sink actually inspires me to do dishes; in fact i might could take a bath in it...

you know how chad and i love our paper lamps (and the prices); we picked us up a couple of these over-sized lights for the living and dining room

notice how dark it is in this picture; it wasnt so dark when we got there at 10 am, and that is our entire kitchen that chad loaded in the back of the truck

there was an ice storm that came through last night; the trees were beautiful; it is just hard to do anything with no power and five inches of ice in certain areas...
